Swindon Scouts

Please note; we are no longer accepting bookings via this website.

This is due to health and safety reasons as, due to meeting place capacity, we need to ensure we do not exceed that capacity. Young Leaders, registered or not registered, are inviting themselves to attend these meetings and, whilst they are proving popular, we need to ensure we can accommodate them safely.

So how does a Young Leader attend modules?

A Young Person must be registered as a Young Leader on Online Scout Manager to receive an invite to YL modules running in the district.

Young Leaders only receive invites to modules we do not have an attendance record of. Therefore, they should not be turning up to modules they haven't had an invite for - it just means they will be repeating their training...

In their invite email, they have the option to accept or decline the invite to that module. As spaces are limited, we ask that they only accept attendance if they are planning to attend, not to reserve a place. If they accept, then find they can not attend, they should change their response on the invite to 'free up' the space for another Young Leader.

How do I register my Young Person as a Young Leader?

If you are not a registered, please do so on this website CLICK HERE. You will receive a welcome email from Online Scout Manager.

But my DofE Volunteer/Young Leader needs to attend a module and it is full?

If the module is full they then must wait until the module is run again. If it is Module A that is full then please contact the ESL (YL) so another can be arranged as soon as possible; they must then wait until they are invited to that module A via OSM.

Emails are sent to all Young Leader requiring that module at the same. It is on a 'first come, first served' basis. We do not reserve places.

I am not receiving OSM invites.

Check your Junk/Spam Mail. If not in there then contact the ESL(YL) so they can check the information you submitted is correct.
