What is Scout Post?
Scout Post has been running in Swindon for over 30 years, last year we delivered over 90,000 cards. Scout Groups offer the public a local postal service to deliver Christmas cards across Swindon and surrounding villages.
How does it work?
Stamps are priced at just 30p this year and are on sale from 1st November 2019. They can be purchased from various retail outlets and public buildings across the area. Look for the poster advertising the selling of stamps.
Christmas cards are then posted in green Scout Post boxes NOT ROYAL MAIL, available at the same locations from 23rd November 2019. Cards must be fully addressed with: Surname, House Name/Number, Street Name and Post Code.
All cards must be posted by 4pm on Wednesday 11th December 2019.
Local Scout Groups will then collect, sort and then deliver the cards over the weekend 14th 15th December.
All proceeds go to support Scouting in the local area – helping to provide young people with skills for life.
